'Farrell' - Robbie Williams' menswear range

Robbie Williams new menswear label will hit the stores in September. The pop star label for autumn 11 will be available in House of Fraser stores and online at Shopdirect.com.

Farrell after Williams’ grandfather Jack Farrell, who was the inspiration for the collection, which comprises items such as a Crombie 3/4 length coat, dinner jacket in herringbone and tailored trousers. It will be mix of casual and smart pieces.  Robbie did not forget about the accessories, such as flat caps and polka dot scarves.

No 1. Christopher Kane's new clutch bags
The neon leather clutches with laser-cut lace will look great are available in four trendy colours and will cheer their owner.

Are you Lucy in Disguise?!

Lily Allen and her sister, Sarah Owen created a vintage-inspired standalone line, Lucy in Disguise, which officially launched in London last night (25th May). The collection includes for example maxi dress, a sparkly jumpsuit, and a retro mini sailor suit ( the 18-piece in total) and will be available at Shopbop in the U.S., Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, and Harvey Nichols in the U.K..

The line has a great website. I like the design and music on Lucy in Disguise’s website and the lips that fallows my every move. The intro movie is great and very interesting. I think that this is a great project and what else can I say: Well done to the team that has created Lucy in Disguise, especially to Lilly and Sarah!

New Boy Bag Chanel Collection 2011

Chanel launches a whole new line of Chanel bags this Fall. The bags are inspired by hunting cartridge style, originally carried by Coco Chanel herself. The new Boy bags are designed to represent the androgynous charm the designer was known and admired for.

The bags will be available in September in a palette of red, grey, and ivory . The price range: from $2500 to $4300.

Rise of Asian models

In the new Vogue I read a report about the growing popularity of Asian models in the world of fashion. The Asian beauty is slowly starting to be appreciated in the global fashion industry after many years of waiting. I found this report very interesting, because even though I have watched fashion shows and read fashion magazines regularly it has never struck me that there are very few Asian looking models. Lisa Movius described Li Ai’s story of how she has tried to break onto the international fashion stage for years and every time she has heard ‘We don’t want an Asian’. Thank god that this is changing and we can observe the shift of Asian models to the middle of the stage. My favourite Asian model at the moment is Liu Wen. She has dramatic cheekbones, which makes her stand out from the crowd. I am not the first person admiring her look.  In the autumn/winter 11’ season 18 houses choose her to represent their collection on their catwalk show. New Trend: Bare Midriffs

Cover, uncover, cover, uncover. Every once and a while we come across a trend that is completely opposite to what we are use to and prefer.  What I love about the trend is that it inspires us to cross the boundaries and wear clothes in the way that we have never done before. This new bare midriffs trend is not about exposing your entire stomach but it's all about showing just a little bit of skin.

S/S 11 runways were full of bare midriffs ranging from fully exposed stomachs to a tiny bit of skin. I am not sure about this look, but it will not stop me from trying and who knows, maybe I will love it.

Now it's time for the shopping. To avoid looking too casual, it is key to put together a high-waisted bottom and fitted top. If you fancy showing off a little more skin, feel free to do it. Remember, it’s not about how much you can show, but how trendy and chic a look you can get.

Society helped to fire Galliano

John Galliano’s anti-Semitic statements and the consequences has been the hottest news in the fashion world the last few days. The whole industry is talking about it and questioning whether House of Dior’s decision to let the designer go was too extreme and unnecessary.

The controversy began after Galliano allegedly insulted Geraldine Bloch and Philippe Virgitti at a Paris bar called La Perle, last Thursday (24 of February).  Later that week things heated up when a video emerged showing Galliano abusing two other women at the same bar in December.

House of Dior’s first decision was to suspend the designer. On the 2^nd of March John Galliano, officially broke his silence and released a statement about the events. He claimed ‘I was subjected to verbal harassment and an unprovoked assault when an individual tried to hit me with a chair having taken a violent exception to my look and my clothing. For these reasons I have commenced proceedings for defamation and the threats made against me.’ He adds ’I only have myself to blame and I know that I must face up to my own failures and that I must work hard to gain people's understanding and compassion.’

Vogue Australia loves Anja Rubik

Vogue Australia April 2011 is fully dedicated to Anja Rubik. The polish supermodel is not only on the cover of glossy magazine but the issue contains 12 pages with pictures of Anja, while spreads are generally 6 pages long.

Images have been captured by Marcin Tyszka and Max Doyle. Anja photographed by Marcin Tyszka and styled by Naomi Smith is a night fever's queen, while captured by Max Doyle shows more romantic and sensual side of her. The model delivers flawless performance and shows how many different, beautiful faces models can have.

Natalie Portman in H&M eco-friendly dress

Natalie Portman appeared for a Vanity Fair party wearing an eco-friendly dress from H&M for a whopping price of $49.95. 'Black Swan' star accessorized the dress with gold heels and bangles on each wrist. The white cotton dress made out of recycled polyester is part of the clothing store's environmentally conscious line, which has been launched in March of 2010.

She isn't the only well-dressed star who wears well put together budget's outfit. Michelle Obama wore $35 H&M dress on 'Today' show two weeks ago. The First Lady went for a navy blue dotted dress.

Georgia Hardinge opened second day of VFS 2011. She presented her new A/W11 collection to a backdrop of Bjork and club music.

Georgia Hardinge made her catwalk debute at VFS last September. She was part of the 'Once To Watch' initiative.
